Hi! I’m Vanessa.
I’m a 28 year old queer feminist writer and photographer who is usually based in Portland, OR but is currently thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). The PCT is a 2,650 mile “wild and scenic pathway” that stretches from Mexico to Canada, passing through California, Oregon, and Washington. For more information about the trail and my hike, check out my introductory post about this particular adventure. You can also read about my gear, what I’m wearing on the trail, and the fundraiser I’m hosting to benefit Big City Mountaineers. If you’d like to donate to my fundraiser you can do so directly here.
When I’m not thru-hiking you can find me writing, crafting, cooking, and talking about astrology. My words have been published in various places on the internet; if you’d like to read more of my work you can find it most recently at Nylon and Autostraddle.
My favorite color is pink, I like the knife emoji best, and I think you’re doing a great job.
